Catching up on the week....

It has been a busy week....the election....work....trying to catch up! I really got into this election. So it has consumed most of my free time...CNN....listening to NPR...I've been obsessed. I have never been into politics but I've realized that the last 4 years so much has gone on something has to change. I need to think about my daughter's future...this country...the environment...and the choice was clear. I have never seen anything like Grant Park in Chicago before on election night. It was amazing! There have been record numbers of voters this year and the hype throughout this whole process was awesome! I am excited to see what Obama can do and have great faith and hope in the next 4 years ahead!!

Okay - on to Keira! Sunday morning we went for a hike down in the woods behind our house. Marley, Kona, Phoebe and Lucky also joined us! It was fun.

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

Keira had her Halloween Party @ daycare yesterday. She was a bee. The costume didn't last very long. Since she wouldn't keep the costume on we decided not to go trick-or-treating. So hopefully next year!!

We enjoyed Halloween @ The Pumpkin House in Kenova, WV. It was really neat! I don't remember ever going - maybe driving by one year but I have seen it in the news and always wanted to go!! Very cool - and a lot of hard work getting all those pumpkins carved!!







She was freaked out by this biker clown thing the whole time! He was actually moving. When Darin was trying to take the picture she was fidgety because the biker was right behind us!!

Canaan Valley

A few weekends ago we took Keira on her first camping trip to Canaan Valley. We brought along Kona and Marley too for the adventure! They never get to go anywhere with us that much anymore so I know they had fun! It was a beautiful weekend - although it did get pretty cold @ night!! We went to one of Darin's favorite spots - Canaan Loop Road. We actually drove the full loop - which the 2nd half got a little rough - we tested the Land Rover's 4x4 capability and it was awesome! Keira slept through the 4x4 adventure!!! I was taking some video of it until I freaked out when we got hung up on some rocks so it kind of ruined it!!! Silly me!!

Michigan Trip - Fall 2008

Operation Lori!

My best friend Lori flew in this weekend from Boston! We met back in 1998 when I came to Marshall.....we have been best friends ever since! We had a great weekend! Keira loved her. We went to the Marshall vs. Cincinnati game on Friday night....

Saturday - we went to the WV Pumpkin Festival in Milton. It took us almost 2 hours in traffic until we got there and parked! Thankfully, Keira napped the whole time. It was ridiculous! The day couldn't have been more beautiful.
