Keira's 2nd Birthday Bash!!

WOW!  I am now the proud parent of a 2 year old toddler!  We celebrated on her birthday (12/11) and had a blast!  I can't believe that time is going so fast these days!  You always hear everyone say that and think yeah whatever....but it is true!!  I have many pics to share from the party but first wanted to flashback to her 1st birthday party last year!  What a difference a year makes!!!  Enjoy!

Remember - She LOVES shoes!  She carried these Princess shoes around all night!!

We did have one party foul!  While Keira was opening presents and all the attention was on her - our black lab Kona went over to the tree and took a glass ornament off and carried it over right beside Keira and tried to eat it!!!  It was crazy!  She gets really jealous - which means Keira loses toys!  Kona also likes doll arms and legs! ha!

After bathtime and pjs she was still messing w/the shoes!

My friend KB is quite the craftmaker!  I got her this personalized pillow from her website Kokoleo.  Check out the site - her stuff is AWESOME!!  We used to play hockey together way back when and recently connected on Facebook.  You can find her blog on my blog list to the right (a patchwork world).

She got a ton of other great stuff.  Pajamas, clothes, sweaters, winter coat, Tinkerbell, Madagascar, SHOES, baby dolls and books!  

What is Santa supposed to bring??  

Unfortunately, we didn't get a family pic because Darin's eyes were really irritated. BAD.  He went to the doc the next morning and has double pink eye...eewwwwwww....They gave him this ointment and he is doing better now!!  I just hope no one that was @ the party gets it!!  

My Big Girl!

A week or so ago we started having trouble getting Keira to sleep in the crib.  We decided it was time to make it into the toddler bed.  Darin got it all fixed up and ready.  She is really doing well! She does get up several times and comes out to see what we are doing and then she will go back in her room.  She watches Shrek, Cody (Surf's Up) and her new fave, ELF.  And falls asleep.

Saturday afternoon she asked me to put Shrek on in her room.  I put it on and she sat in her elmo chair and I came back out in the living room.  It got pretty quiet so I went back and checked on her and this is what I found

Pretty great!!!  She is so awesome!

December is here....

I can't believe it is already December.  My little girl will be 2 years old on Thursday!  Time has gone by so fast!  We are just now getting over colds that started when we got back from Thanksgiving.   Last week was a bit rough but we are all feeling a lot better now!  It started to snow saturday morning so we decided to go get the tree.  It was freezing too!  I think we picked a pretty good one....Keira had fun too.

They always look bigger when you get them inside!!!  We usually get the live tree w/the root ball so we can replant it outside but they are so small.  I begged to get a regular one so it would be bigger - and I won!!!   :)

My Aunt Lynn sent us this wreath from her gig Acadia Wreath Company. Beautiful Maine balsam. Smells GREAT!  Check out the site - she has other cool stuff such as kissing balls, advent calenders, etc.

Keira putting her ornaments on.  She got a Grinch ornament and a Disney Princess one new this year and she loves taking them on and off...on and off...

Great Long Weekend!

What a great Thanksgiving and weekend we had!  We enjoyed spending time w/my family.  Got some Christmas shopping in.  Lots of visiting.  Good food.  Good friends.  Good times.

She is a Shrek freak!  Keira LOVES Shrek.  We basically watch it 24/7.  She knows the characters.  The cutest is when she yells, "Princess Iona!" (translates to Princess Fiona)  My Mom got her this Bratz doll w/a Shrek theme.  She loved the ears!

My brother Zac.  Keira was petrified of him.  She cried when ever he came around.  But she did give him a kiss goodbye, so that is progress.

We also got to hang out w/one of my oldest friends, Robyn.  We haven't seen each other for a long time.  I met her new husband Claudio, who is very cool and her sister Tracy also hung out!  We had a blast.  Laughed a lot!  Remembered old times.  They stopped by my Dad's house to visit and got to meet Keira also!!  Here they are down in the pool room - our old stomping ground years ago!  We used to hang out down there and play pool A LOT!  

We headed to TJ's to shoot some pool and have a few drinks.

My Little Indian!!  My Dad and Robyn got her this cute Indian outfit.  She loved it and had to put it on almost immediately after opening it!  It has the cutest moccasins also and a headband.  She wouldn't put those on though.  

Hope everyone has a good week.  I can't believe it is December already!  We are gearing up for Keira's big 2nd Birthday in a week and a half!!  Lots to do....

BAD blogger!!

Where has the time gone?? Sheesh! I can't believe Thanksgiving is this week!!! We will be celebrating w/my family so I am really excited about that! We haven't been to Wheeling for Thanksgiving in over 6 years probably! I know my parents are thrilled to get to spend it w/Keira!! Here are some random pics from the last few weeks......

She got scratched around the eye/nose @ daycare fighting over a toy w/a boy...lovely!

Chasity and family came over for spaghetti dinner last week. We enjoyed the wine!!

Keira wants to do everything by herself now. Getting dressed, getting on the potty, washing her hands, etc. She has recently wanted to start drying her own hair after bathtime! I think it is a little heavy but she manages!!

I put some new magnets on the fridge w/animals and different things on them. She really liked playing w/them.

However, she was trying to get them to all stay in her alphabet thing.
