Project Update: VW Bus

Darin is coming along on the bus project. He tries to work on it a little each day. He ordered a bunch of stuff for it the other day. He did decide to paint it two-tone. He has the inside pretty much gutted. Here are some of the latest pics:

The crew that usually hangs out every evening - Phoebe (neighbor), Kona, Lucky (neighbor) and Marley!! Keira loves taking gravel or rocks and throwing them into the pond for Kona to fetch.

Garden Note: The harvest is over. Finito! And thanks to Kona (above) the watermelon is gone! We were out on the deck last night talking to the neighbor and here comes Kona w/the watermelon in her mouth! She pulled it off the vine and carried it up! I wish I had the camera outside when she came around the corner! I about cried!!! Here is the aftermath.....

It was almost ripe! It tasted alright though...

Coco Key

I had a nice long weekend! I took Friday and Monday (my 32nd bday) off. We were going to go to Snowshoe for the weekend but decided to just go up to Columbus Friday night and Saturday. We took Keira to Coco Key Water Resort . She had a blast! She is such a fish!

We spent Friday evening shopping around Easton and had dinner w/Justin @ PF Changs!





She loved this....Darin was in control of making the water shoot up!




Every so often a siren would go off - this would warn people in the play area that the bucket @ the top was about to dump a ton of water down!! It was crazy - that water was coming down in a force!! We skidaddled whenever we heard it - crap that would knock me out!

Project Update: VW Bus

Darin has been prepping the bus for the paint job. A lot of sanding, grinding etc. It is almost ready. He is going to paint it like an olive drab color - maybe the top half black. He is still not sure on that. Here are some pics so far:

Volksfest 18

We travelled to Columbus, Ohio this weekend for Volksfest 18. Darin took a bunch of stuff to sell/swap and did pretty good! He also got a transmission for the bus project. It could be up and running in a few weeks. I will post the update pics later today. While Darin hung out @ Volksfest, my friend Justin picked me and Keira up and we went to Easton for the day. It was fun! Keira was shoe crazy as usual - had a fit in Baby Gap over shoes! It was a good day!

We took Keira to the park. I didn't realize that the slides would be scorching! She played around in the sand area and did some swinging.

BIRTHDAY BLITZ!

We had a busy Saturday! Keira and I went to 2 birthday parties! First we started off @ Aidan's 4th party. It was HOT! They had a huge inflatable water slide in the yard - she just stared @ the kids playing on it for awhile and then decided to go check it out.

On to party #2, our neighbor Tanner turns 5! This was a bowling party so I mostly chased Keira around the bowling alley!
