Jumper!

We finally had a nice weekend! This rain can depart anytime now! Keira had a blast @ the pool. She really loves the water! It was a great way to start off August!

After she got tired of the kiddie area she was ready for the big pool! She is too funny! I am not really sure what she is yelling in some of it but she counts a lot and it sounds like this:

1...2...3...6...7...9...10 and then she jumps!

This is HYSTERICAL! Listen for the lifguards to whistle...never take your eyes off of your kid...haha!

Friends til the End!

This is my best friend Robyn. We became friends @ age 8 or 9! She is having her second son in September! I had a little baby shower for her in Wheeling @ my Dad's house. It was a great evening! She looks great and we laughed a lot! I have blogged about her here . We share so many memories and there are still many more we will be making!! We talk/text/facebook just about daily. It is great! Hopefully we will live closer to each other in the future! We are already looking forward to vacations! haha!

Few Updates.

We made some progress on the treehouse/play area project! He just needs to get a railing around the deck until he starts the house part! Keira LOVES it!

Keira got bangs!! They were really in her eyes and face bad and she will not keep a hair thing in so Granny trimmed them up! Looks cute!! A little more grown up I think....

I have some more pictures to share from our Wheeling trip a few weeks ago. I need to put them in an album -- I just haven't had time to upload them. Hopefully tonight since it looks like rain all day! Check back later!!

Polish Time!

Crazy Kona!

Our lab Kona is completely nuts! She LOVES rocks of all things! If you are outside - I don't think you would see her without a rock in her mouth or her barking near a rock that she wants you to throw. It really does get annoying. She will bark consistently until you throw said rock. Seriously. If you have noticed in several of my videos you always hear Kona barking in the background! hehe! LOVE her to death though. Labs will be Labs I guess!

Blackberry Pickin!

There are blackberries all over by our house! We have been waiting for them to be ready to pick. So - I told Keira to get ready to go pick some......this is what she put on!!! Oh dear...I believe we are in severe trouble when she gets older! haha!

Project Treehouse!

We FINALLY started Keira's treehouse/play area! It is slowly coming together! We made a couple trips to Home Depot and pretty much spent the whole weekend working on it! The vision is to have the slide and rock climbing wall attached to the deck like part you see.....then the house will be to the left of that! I am so excited....I want to play too!!! So far she is really digging the new swing and trapeze bar!

Bug Talk.

Keira found some sort of caterpillar like bug the other day. She found it down by the garage. Darin and I were sitting up in the yard. She couldn't get the lid off the bug jar so she put the bug in an empty bubble tube to carry it up to us. (good thinking! hehe!) After D got the lid off she dumped him in! Then she looked @ him through the magnifying lid. She was proud! Then she preceded to take the jar to her bike and put it in the back and scoot away! The last pic is her sucking a flower up her nose......must have learned that @ daycare?!?

Have I told you how much I LOVE this kid!! She is the BEST!!

I can't believe it is already July! Time just flies by anymore! Here are some pics from the last week...I am behind!

She is a FISH! She is just about swimming! She was jumping in like a maniac! I can't wait to take her again - hopefully this weekend.

Project Update: VW BUS

Darin has been working a little bit on the bus when he has time. Unfortunately, when he pulled the bus out of storage from the winter and popped the top ---- mice had nested in the top and ate a hole in the NEW canvas! He was not a happy camper. He will have to patch it. He did get the new bamboo floor installed. It looks sweeeeeeet! He also got the bumper on one of his buddies made him. It is awesome too! Here is where we left off last time.

RIP Michael Jackson

WOW! What an insane day yesterday! Farrah Fawcett (RIP) - which was kind of inevitable that she wasn't going to make it much longer.... BUT MICHAEL JACKSON! WHAT! I was in shock! I mean -- his life became a real train wreck BUT you can never forget his greatest hits, dance moves, high pitch screetches (hee, heeee!). I just really can't believe my grandparents have outlived MJ. Complete craziness!!!

Timber!!

We finally got rid of 2 dead trees in our yard! There was a HUGE one right in the front of our house that got hit by lightning a few years ago, which killed it. It was just like a big eye sore! We got that one cut down and another dead one that was in our side yard. Sianora! So glad they are out of there!! I cringed every time a bad storm rolled in that one might fall near the house....so very relieved!!!

One Little Indian.

In order to get out of the house on time in the morning I have found it easier to let Keira pick out her outfit and shoes. She NEVER wants to wear what I suggest and I do not have the time to mess w/her! So - instead of a struggle - I let her wear these crazy outfits! One day this week she saw this indian outfit that my Dad and Robyn got her in Santa Fe last year hanging in her closet - I knew she was going to pick it - and she did!!! haha!! The daycare teacher just started cracking up when I got there.....they are used to this but this was one of the best! hehe! She wore it all day and continued to wear it all evening.

What am I going to do w/her?

(the squeaking noise is the bike that I am riding - it was like wobbling from side to side! oh and her new thing is saying her full name - SO CUTE!)

She loves my longboard. The skateberd as she calls it. She has a major southern accent that is crazy! She is a riot!! She loves riding it w/her Dad!!!
